What's the difference between Brazilian, Bikini Full and Bikini Line?

The Brazilian will take off all the hair on the front side plus the back side.  The Bikini Full will take off all the hair on the front side minus the back side. A Bikini Line will take off the hair that grows from the leg crease to the width of 4 inches, plus an inch off the top. Why is waxing different than shaving?

Waxing removes each hair root from the hair follicle. When the hair root is taken out, it essentially weakens and slows the growth of our hair because the flow of blood and nutrients to the hair root has stopped. Waxing gets easier each time you do it (assuming you're not shaving or trimming between waxes) because the hair root gets smaller. The level of discomfort is much lower when you have a smaller root being removed compared to a bigger root, makes sense right? And then you have shaving.. where the hair is cut in half, the root stays rooted and keeps the hair growing thick and rapidly.

Does my hair need to be a certain length?

Accepted Answer

Yes! It's very important that your hair is at least 1/4 inch or the length of a grain of rice to be waxed. Ten to fourteen days of growth will get you to this point. Waxing every 4 weeks is recommended to have the perfect length.

What can I do to help my wax be more comfortable?

1. Stay as hydrated as possible before your wax. 2. Take anything you would normally take for a headache 30 minutes before your appointment. 3. Do not use numbing creams or oils before your wax. 4. Avoid high amounts of alcohol and caffeine the night before and day of your appointment. 5. In between waxes: Exfoliate 4x weekly, Moisturize or use an ingrown hair serum daily. 6. During your wax, taking deep breaths will help, I'll help to make sure you breathe on the larger strips!

Can I wax during menstruation?

Yes absolutely! As long as you have a tampon or cup in, it will not effect the quality of your wax one bit. And no, it does not bother or make a difference to me! Just a tip: hydration is extremely important if you do have it.

Is it weird or awkward?

Nope! To be honest - I perform bikini waxing just as often as brow waxing. It's completely normal for you to be nervous or anxious before your first wax (I remember when I was!) But, after a few minutes, your nerves are guaranteed to settle when you realize how quick (and worth it) it is!
